How to Create a Credit Application

This tutorial will explain how loan officers can begin using the MortgageDashboard loan origination software. It will provide a basic understanding of the application’s functions and pages.

Step-By-Step:

  1. 1. There are four options you can use when adding a new loan to MortgageDashboard. They are found on the left side tabs of the pipeline.
  2. The Credit Application was designed to cover the HMDA required fields. With it, you have access to all of the commonly needed fields for pulling credit. It contains fields to fill out the Borrowers information, as well as the Co-borrower information. Below this, you will discover the Transaction Details. This is where you can choose whether the loan will be a purchase or refinance, estimated interest rate, etc. You can fill out as much or as little as you want. The Declarations and the Government Monitoring sections are also included. You also have the option of loading a Master Template, before creating your 1003.
  3. At the top and bottom of this application, you have 3 options. If you aren’t ready to move forward with this application, you can save it as a Lead by clicking “Save As Lead”. If you’re ready to move forward to Page 1 of the 1003, click “Create Application”. Doing this will convert all of this information and put it onto the 1003. If you’ve put enough information to pull credit, you also have the option of ordering credit by clicking “Order Credit”. Clicking either “Order Credit” or “Create Application” will move the loan to your Prospect Pipeline.
